My names Katie Brown and I’m the proud owner of Katie Louise hairdressing! I’ve had an interest in hairdressing from a young age and was learning to french plait from the age of 9.
I even had a little braiding sideline business at school, when it was cool to have half of your hair cornrowed.
I started my hairdressing career a longgg 15 years ago! Starting as an apprentice in an amazing salon In derby where I grew up, I moved to Warrington when I was 17 and carried on my apprenticeship in some of the north west’s best academies. I dabbled around with other jobs but always came back to hairdressing. I worked my way up in a top Warrington salon then took the leap to go self employed in March 2017.
I spent a year building my brand and strong client base through renting chairs in numerous salons. Ultimately there were always little niggles which were out of my control and holding me back, the only way to fix that was too take control of my own premises. I had a great opportunity to open my own salon in the town centre and have never looked back.
I LOVE learning and I’m always on the look out for more education and challenges.
